cystic fibrosis: (CF) is the most common, fatal genetic disease affecting young Canadians. CF is a multi-organ disease affecting primarily the lungs and the digestive system. In the lungs, CF causes severe breathing problems. A build-up of thick mucus makes it difficult to clear bacteria and leads to cycles of infection and inflammation, which damage the delicate lung tissues. They must follow a demanding daily routine of physical therapy to keep the lungs free of congestion and infection.


Last night, MY uncle died from this disease. He had been fighting for a long time with it, and had up to this point always made it through, but for the last week he had been in the hospital in a coma. I was told sunday night that he was dieing, and was supposed to go up to toronto to see him but was unable because there was no space in the car. I then found out yesterday that around 8:30 PM he had passed away. I under stand that he is no longer in pain and that he has gone to a better place but it is still really hard without him. I miss him more than anything, and I hope he knows that no matter what I will never forget him, or stop loving him<3 R.I.P Uncle cucker, Always loved never forgotten
